The Vltava River winds its way through the magical city of Prague, lined with the city’s classic buildings and criss-crossed by beautiful bridges such as the beloved Charles Bridge and other more modern bridges. The Vltava was historically used in the Middle Ages to transport timber from the forests in the South for building, so in a way, this river played an important role in the creation of Prague and the city it is today. Today, parts of the Vltava River are used for rafting mainly in the countryside, or in the city visitors can enjoy a dinner cruise and view the magnificent City of a Hundred Spires from water.
